NEEDS AND GUIDELINES FOR ENHANCING COMPETENCYDEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATIC TEACHERS UNDER THE PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2, TAK

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the needs assessment and the guidelines of skills competency of mathematics teachers’ development under Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. There were two steps of the research, the first step was the study of the needs assessment of skills competency of mathematics teacher. By using the questionnaire with 152 mathematic teachers from Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The data was analyzed by means, standard derivation (SD) and arranged priority by Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI modified ). The second step was the study of guidelines of skills competency of mathematics teachers’ development under Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The data was collected by using interviewing method which was held by the 5 qualified experts. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The results were shown that:

1. The study of needs index (PNI modified ) of skills competency of mathematics teachers under Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 found that the highest score of the Priority Needs Index was the curriculum development and the planning of learning management aspect, followed by the learning management for Mathematical skills and processes, and the Assessment for Learning, respectively.

2. The study of guidelines of skills competency of mathematics teachers’ development under Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 found that the Educational Service Office should setup the seminars and workshops to improve the skills competency of mathematics Teachers. Which has been promoted from administrators to participate in training. And mathematics teachers should study and exchange knowledge in the Professional Learning Community (PLC) to develop the skills of mathematics teachers.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นและแนวทางการพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 โดยวิธีดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 โดยใช้แบบสอบถามกับครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 จำนวน 152 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการจัดลำดับความสำคัญของต้องการจำเป็น (PNImodified) ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 ข้อมูลได้มาจากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 5 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการศึกษา พบว่า

1. ผลการศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 พบว่า ด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตรและวางแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ มีดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็นมากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ให้ผู้เรียนเกิดทักษะและกระบวนการทางคณิตศาสตร์ และด้านการวัดและประเมินผลเพื่อพัฒนาการเรียนรู้ของผู้เรียน ตามลำดับ

2. ผลการศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 2 พบว่า สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่ควรจัดอบรม ประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการในการพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ ซึ่งได้รับการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนจากผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาในการเข้าร่วมการอบรม และครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์ควรศึกษาและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ในชุมชนแห่งการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพ (PLC) เพื่อพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านทักษะของครูผู้สอนคณิตศาสตร์
