Abstract: This study aimed to examine Thai undergraduate students’ English writing proficiency, English writing strategies, and opinions. The researchers designed an English writing instruction framework in a blended learning approach. English writing instruction with a blended learning approach combines face-to-face instruction and online learning. The samples were 35 second-year Thai undergraduate students, Faculty of Education at Buriram Rajabhat University. The findings revealed that the mean score of the pre-test was 10.66, while the mean score of the post-test was 17.37. There was a significant difference at the 0.05 level (p < 0.05) between pre-test and post-test. The results of English writing strategies showed that the students mainly used online websites, online English-Thai-English dictionaries as supported tools. According to the findings of the questionnaire, students were highly satisfied with English writing instruction framework in a blended learning approach. Based on the findings, the researcher concluded that English writing instruction with a blended learning approach positively increased students’ English writing proficiency.
