THE DEVELOPMENT OF ESSAY WRITING ABILITIES OF MATTHAYOMSUKSA 5 STUDENTS WITH VARIOUS STUDENT ENGAGEMENT BY USING THE 5 STEPS COLLABORATIVE LEARNING PROCESS (CO – 5 STEPs) WITH THE INTEGRATED EXERCISES BASED ON THE LOCAL WISDOM OF SUKHOTHAI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of the study were to 1) develop the learning management aimed to improve the effectiveness of essay writing abilities of Matthayomsuksa 5 students by using the 5 - steps collaborative learning process (CO - 5 STEPs) with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province with the criteria of an achievement at 80/80, 2) compare the essay writing abilities of Matthayomsuksa 5 students before and after using the CO - 5 STEPs with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province, 3) compare the essay writing abilities of Matthayomsuksa 5 students with a various engagement after using the CO - 5 STEPs with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province, and 4) study the satisfaction of Matthayomsuksa 5 students towards the learning management of developing essay writing abilities by using the CO - 5 STEPs with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province. The study was based on pre - experimentation. The population were 217 of Matthayomsuksa 5 students from 6 classes in the first semester of 2024 in Muang Chaliang School in Sukhothai Province. The sample group was 36 students from Matthayomsuksa 5/6 students, selected by the Cluster Random Sampling method. The tools of this research included 1) the lesson plans regarding the CO - 5 STEPs with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province, 2) the essay writing test and the assessment criteria, 3) the satisfaction survey towards the learning management, and 4) the assessment test of student engagement. The statistical data analyses included an average and standard deviation. The statistical hypothesis testing included dependent sample t - test, one sample t - test, and one – way analysis of variance (ANOVA).

The results of the study found that:

1. The effectiveness of the learning management aimed to develop the essay writing abilities of Matthayomsuksa 5 students by using the CO - 5 STEPs with the integrated exercises based on the local wisdom of Sukhothai Province was 83.64/81.61, which meets the set criterion (80/80).

2. The essay writing abilities was significantly higher after taking the learning management; the statistical rate was at .05.

3. The students with various student engagement were able to perform the essay writing abilities differently at the significant rate of .05.

4. The overall satisfaction of the students towards the learning management was at the highest rate and significantly higher than the criteria at the rate of .05.

การวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมาย เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาการจัดการเรียนรู้สำหรับพัฒนาความสามารถ การเขียนเรียงความโดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัยของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความของนักเรียน ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ระหว่างก่อนและหลังจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัย 3) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีความยึดมั่นผูกพันกับการเรียนต่างกัน หลังจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัย และ 4) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้สำหรับพัฒนาความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความโดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัย การวิจัยนี้เป็นวิจัยก่อนการทดลอง ประชากร คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนเมืองเชลียง จังหวัดสุโขทัย ที่กำลังศึกษา ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 จำนวน 6 ห้องเรียน รวม 217 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักเรียน ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/6 จำนวน 36 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ที่ใช้ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นสุโขทัย 2) แบบวัดความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความและเกณฑ์การให้คะแนน 3) แบบวัดความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนรู้ และ 4) แบบวัด ความยึดมั่นผูกพันกับการเรียน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติทดสอบทีแบบกลุ่มตัวอย่างไม่เป็นอิสระจากกันและแบบกลุ่มเดียว รวมทั้งการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน แบบทางเดียว

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. การจัดการเรียนรู้สำหรับพัฒนาความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความ โดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัย สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 มีประสิทธิภาพ เท่ากับ 83.06/81.67 ซึ่งเป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 ที่กำหนดไว้

2. นักเรียนมีความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. นักเรียนที่มีความยึดมั่นผูกพันกับการเรียนต่างกัน หลังเรียนมีความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

4. นักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถการเขียนเรียงความโดยใช้กระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกแบบรวมพลัง 5 ขั้นตอน (CO - 5 STEPs) ร่วมกับแบบฝึกทักษะที่บูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสุโขทัย ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด และสูงกว่าเกณฑ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
