Abstract

This study examines the pattern and relationship between old fashioned hairstyles and current popular hairstyles as seen in social media such as Instagram in 2023. We have found that style number 1 has been used the most for brides as well as social event. The second style was the most popular for brides who preferred a more Western dress style and social event. The hair in this style is a little lower than the traditional style of updo. The 4th style is the neatest. The 3rd and 5th styles ranked the lowest in popularity. Both of these styles are tied at the same position as the 2nd style but is more complex and more difficult to modify. All of these hairstyles have a tendency to diminish the shape, detail, smoothness, shine and tone of the hair. The researchers propose a method of balancing hair according to the flow by reducing volume, reducing complexity, shortening the duration and the process of combining hair releases or by changing the binding position.
