ยุทธวิธีและนวัตกรรมการเคลื่อนไหวด้วยสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ : ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบขบวนการเคลื่อนไหว “The Umbrella Movement” กับ “คณะประชาชนปลดแอก”

Abstract

This study aimed to examine fight tactics and a comparative study of innovative social media movements between The Umbrella Movement and The Free People Movement. This was a multiple case study, consisting of two or more cases as well as qualitative research. The findings showed that both movements utilized similar social media patterns with different tactics. The Umbrella Movement mostly disseminated news through Facebook and communicated through personal platforms with friends and family members while The Free People Movement disseminated news through Facebook and Twitter. Although The Umbrella Movement and The Free People Movement utilized different tactics, both of them held the same purpose of claiming rights and independence to guide the society toward democracy.

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์ขึ้นเพื่อศึกษายุทธวิธีการต่อสู้และเปรียบเทียบนวัตกรรมการเคลื่อนไหวในสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ของขบวนการ The Umbrella Movement กับ คณะประชาชนปลดแอก โดยจะเป็นการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบข้อมูลแบบพหุกรณี (Multiple Case Study) ที่ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบข้อมูลตั้งแต่ 2 กรณีขึ้นไป รวมถึงจะใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (QualitativeResearch) จากการศึกษาพบว่า ขบวนการเคลื่อนไหวของทั้งสองขบวนการมีการใช้นวัตกรรมการสื่อสารผ่านสังคมออนไลน์ที่คล้ายคลึงกัน แต่จะแตกต่างกันตรงยุทธวิธี เนื่องจากขบวนการของ The Umbrella Movement ส่วนใหญ่แล้วจะเป็นการเคลื่อนไหวกันผ่าน Facebook และติดต่อการสื่อสารผ่านทางแพลตฟอร์มที่พูดคุยกันในกลุ่มเพื่อนและครอบครัว ในขณะที่ขบวนการของคณะประชาชนปลดแอกจะมีการกระจายข่าวสารและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นกันผ่าน Facebook และ Twitter และถึงแม้ว่าทั้งสองขบวนการจะมียุทธวิธีและนวัตกรรมการเคลื่อนไหวที่มีความแตกต่างกันแต่กลับมีจุดมุ่งหมายเดียวกันในเรื่องของการเรียกร้องสิทธิและเสรีภาพเพื่อนำสังคมไปสู่ความเป็นประชาธิปไตย
