ความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมที่ส่งผลต่อความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันและผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to test the cause and results of innovation capability affecting the competitive advantage and business performance of small hotel businesses in Thailand with the following sub-objectives: 1) to test the innovative capability affecting the competitive advantage and business performance of small hotel businesses in Thailand 2) to test the competitive advantage affecting the business performance of small hotel businesses in Thailand, and 3) to test the environment dynamism affecting the relationship between competitive advantage and business performance of small hotel businesses in Thailand. This quantitative research tested the causal and rational relationships using an online questionnaire. The population of this study includes 356 hotel administrators of small hotel businesses in Thailand. The confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were used to analyze the data.

The results of this study revealed that 1) Innovation capability has a positive influence on competitive advantage and business performance, 2) Competitive advantage has a positive influence on business performance, and 3) Environmental dynamism has a positive influence on competitive advantage and business performance. The confirmatory factor analysis found that the model as hypothesis was harmonious to empirical data: Chi-square = 259.774, Chi-square/df = 1.087, p-value of Chi-square = 0.170, CFI = 0.997, GFI = 0.940, AGFI = 0.911 and RMSEA = 0.017. This research described the cause and result of the innovation capability of small hotel businesses in Thailand to suggest guidelines to develop the innovation capability of small hotel businesses despite the complexity and rapid change in the business environment nowadays.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทดสอบสาเหตุและผลลัพธ์ของความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมที่ส่งผลต่อความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันและผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ย่อยดังนี้ 1) เพื่อทดสอบผลกระทบของความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมที่ส่งผลต่อความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันและผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย 2) เพื่อทดสอบผลกระทบของความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันที่ส่งผลต่อผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย และ 3) เพื่อทดสอบผลกระทบของสภาพแวดล้อมเชิงพลวัตที่ส่งผลต่อความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันและผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณณเพื่อทดสอบความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุและผลลัพธ์ด้วยแบบสอบถามออนไลน์กับผู้บริหารระดับสูงของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทย จำนวน 295 แห่ง ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการใช้แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการทดสอบสมมติฐาน ได้แก่ การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันและการวิเคราะห์เส้นทาง

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมมีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขัน 2) ความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมมีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจ 3) ความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันมีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจ และ 4) สภาพแวดล้อมเชิงพลวัตมีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อความได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขันและผลการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยัน พบว่าโมเดลตามสมมติฐานมีความสอดคล้องกลมกลืนกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์นั้นผ่านเกณฑ์ โดยค่า Chi-square = 259.774, ค่า Chi-square/df = 1.087, ค่า p-value = 0.170, ค่า CFI = 0.997, ค่า GFI = 0.940, ค่า AGFI = 0.911 และค่า RMSEA = 0.017) ประโยชน์จากการวิจัยนี้สามารถอธิบายความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุและผลลัพธ์ของความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กในประเทศไทยและสามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางการพัฒนาความสามารถเชิงนวัตกรรมในการบริหารจัดการของธุรกิจโรงแรมขนาดเล็กท่ามกลางสภาพแวดล้อมทางธุรกิจที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็วในปัจจุบัน
