ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทการทำงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์

Abstract

The objectives of this cross-sectional descriptive research were to investigate the functional performance among caregivers for dependent elderly people and to explore the factors affecting the functional performance among caregivers for caring dependent elderly in Uttaradit Province. The sample consisted of 265 caregivers of dependent elderly people, which was selected randomly and based on a systematic sampling. Research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were collected during October-December 2019. Data were then analyzed by statistics to determine frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The major findings indicated that the sample’s functional performance was at a moderate level (x̅ = 63.32, S.D = 8.37). Attitudes on Health Care for Dependent Elderly, followed by public health officials support and high school education could jointly predict 66 % of the variation in the functional performance of caregivers of dependent elderly with a statistical significance level R2 = 0.667, p < 0.001). Attitudes had the highest predictive influence on the functional performance of caregivers (β = 0.304, p < 0.001), followed by public health officials support (β = 0.113, p = 0.010), and high school education (β = 0.084, p = 0.029), respectively.

This research suggests that health care administrators should apply these research results for a policy to support from public health officials in caring, monitoring, providing information, as well as providing morale to caregivers, so that the operation of caring for the elderly continues. It was linked from the public health care policy, the caregivers and the elderly to receive quality care.

การวิจัยนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาแบบภาคตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทการทำงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง และศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทการทำงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิงจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือ ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ จำนวน 265 คน โดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเป็นระบบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือ แบบสอบถามปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทการทำงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในช่วงเดือนตุลาคม ถึงเดือนธันวาคม 2562 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วย สถิติความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทการทำงานอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (x̅ = 63.32, S.D = 8.37) ทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับการดูแลสุขภาพผู้สุงอายุ การสนับสนุนจากเจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุข และการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย/ปวส. สามารถร่วมกันทำนายการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทของผู้ดูแลในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง ได้ร้อยละ 66 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (R2 = 0.667, p < 0.001) โดยทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับการดูแลสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง สามารถทำนายการปฏิบัติตามบทบาทของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุได้มากที่สุด (β = 0.304, p < 0.001) รองลงมาคือ การสนับสนุนจากเจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุข (β = 0.113, p = 0.010) และการศึกษามัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย/ปวส. (β = 0.084, p = 0.029) ตามลำดับ

จากการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีข้อเสนอแนะว่า สาธารณสุขจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ควรกำหนดให้มีนโยบายสนับสนุนจากเจ้าหน้าที่สาธารณสุข ในการดูแล ติดตาม ให้ข้อมูล รวมทั้งการให้ขวัญกำลังใจแก่ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ เพื่อให้การปฏิบัติงานของดูแลผู้สูงอายุดำเนินอย่างต่อเนื่อง เกิดการเชื่อมโยงจากนโยบายการดูแลสุขภาพของประชาชน ทำให้ผู้ดูแลและผู้สูงอายุได้รับการดูแลที่มีคุณภาพ
