ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะในจังหวัดสุโขทัย

Abstract

This research is a cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the factors affecting the preventive behavior toward occupational health hazards of garbage collectors in Sukhothai province by using the PRECEDE Model. The samples were 171 garbage collectors under the local government organization in Sukhothai province. This research was conducted using questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, maximum, and minimum) and inferential statistics (Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis).

Most garbage collectors had a high level of preventive behavior toward occupational health hazards. The multiple regression analysis revealed that the attitude to the prevention of occupational health hazards, the experience in occupational health hazard exposure, safety and work environment policy, age, social support from family, and education affected the preventive behaviors toward occupational health hazards at 41.00% (Adjusted R2 = 0.41)

These results can be used as a guideline for local government organization in Sukhothai province organizing activities to clarify the working policy and to exchange attitude or experience in occupational health hazard exposure, including the build-up of a good relationship between supervisors and colleagues. This will encourage the waste collectors getting better preventive behaviors toward occupational health hazards.

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาแบบภาคตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะ จังหวัดสุโขทัย โดยประยุกต์ใช้กรอบแนวคิด PRECEDE Model กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือพนักงานเก็บขยะที่ทำงานในสังกัดองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น จังหวัดสุโขทัย จำนวน 171 คน ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าสูงสุด ค่าต่ำสุด สถิติเชิงอนุมาน ได้แก่ การวิเคราะห์การถดถอยแบบพหุคูณ (Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis)

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า พนักงานเก็บขยะส่วนใหญ่มีพฤติกรรมการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงานอยู่ในระดับสูง เมื่อวิเคราะห์ถดถอยพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน พบว่า เจตคติในการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงาน ประสบการณ์การสัมผัสสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงาน นโยบายด้านความปลอดภัยและสิ่งแวดล้อมในการทำงาน อายุ แรงสนับสนุนจากครอบครัว และระดับการศึกษาสามารถร่วมทำนายพฤติกรรมการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะได้ ร้อยละ 41.00 (Adjusted R2 = 0.41)

ผลการวิจัยสามารถเป็นแนวทางให้องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในจังหวัดสุโขทัยจัดการอบรม เพื่อชี้แจงนโยบายการทำงานให้ทราบร่วมกัน แลกเปลี่ยนเจตคติ หรือประสบการณ์การสัมผัสสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงาน รวมถึงเป็นการเชื่อมสัมพันธ์ระหว่างหัวหน้างาน และเพื่อนร่วมงาน ซึ่งจะช่วยกระตุ้นให้พนักงานเก็บขยะมีพฤติกรรมการป้องกันสิ่งคุกคามทางสุขภาพจากการทำงานที่ดีขึ้น
