ปัจจัยทำนายพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยในกลุ่มผู้ปกครองชาวกะเหรี่ยงปกาเกอะญอ อำเภอแม่สอด จังหวัดตาก

Abstract

Karen guardians were minorities people who lived along border between Thailand and Myanmar. Most of them lacked knowledge and support of early childhood development as their children have inappropriate development. This study aimed to investigate factors affecting behavior of early childhood development among Karen guardians in Mae Sot District, Tak Province. A cross-sectional survey was employed in this study. Two hundred and ten samples were selected randomly with simple random sampling. They were Karen guardians who lived in a Karen ethnic village, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. Data were collected by using a questionnaire. Kuder-Richardson 20 test was 0.881 and Alpha Kronbach Coefficients were 0.857. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, stepwise multiple regression analysis statistics. The results revealed that behavior of early childhood development was at a high level ( =59.03, S.D.=10.259). Four factors affected the behavior of promoting early childhood development among Karen guardians. There were found social support in information (β = -0.208, p=0.017), knowledge media to promote child development (β = 0.165, p=0.013), and Social support in assessment (β = -0.173, p=0.048). These factors were utilized to predict 18.30% (R square = 0.183, Adjusted R square = 0.171) of the early childhood development behaviors. Therefore, health care workers as well as health care sectors should provide social support, knowledge media and devices to promote child development in appropriate stages of childhood in order to enhance the guardians to have proper behavior of early childhood. Factors affecting behavior of early childhood development among Karen guardians were social support in information and assessment, as well as knowledge media and devices to promote child development.

การศึกษานี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาภาคตัดขวาง เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยในกลุ่มผู้ปกครองชาวกะเหรี่ยงปกาเกอะญอ อำเภอแม่สอด จังหวัดตาก กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้ปกครองของเด็กอายุ 0-5 ปี ชาวกะเหรี่ยงปกาเกอะญอ จำนวน 210 คน ใช้วิธีการคัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างด้วยวิธีการสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน โดยแบบสอบถามใช้ค่าความเที่ยงตรงคูเดอร์-ริชาร์ดสัน 20 ได้เท่ากับ 0.881 และวิธีการของครอนบาค ได้เท่ากับ 0.857 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยเชิงพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน ผลการศึกษา พบว่า พฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก ( =59.03, S.D.=10.259) ปัจจัยที่มีอำนาจในการทำนายพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยในกลุ่มผู้ปกครองชาวกะเหรี่ยงปกาเกอะญอ พบว่า แรงสนับสนุนทางสังคมด้านข้อมูลข่าวสาร (β = -0.208, p=0.017) การได้รับสื่อความรู้การส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็ก (β = 0.165, p=0.013) และแรงสนับสนุนทางสังคมด้านการประเมินผล (β = -0.173, p=0.048) ร่วมกันทำนายพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยในกลุ่มผู้ปกครองชาวกะเหรี่ยงปกาเกอะญอได้ร้อยละ 18.30 (R square = 0.183, Adjusted R square = 0.171) ดังนั้น บุคลากรด้านสุขภาพและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องควรสนับสนุนแรงสนับสนุนทางสังคม การใช้สื่อความรู้ และสนับสนุนการจัดหาอุปกรณ์ส่งเสริมพัฒนาการที่มีความเหมาะสมตามวัย เพื่อให้ผู้ปกครองเด็กปฐมวัยมีพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กปฐมวัยที่เหมาะสม
